This Is What Summer Is All About!

I am taking a quick break from a rather intense Checkers tournament
to share our weekend with you.
Tyler is staying over (Sunday to Monday), so my time is limited.

Our spectacular sunny weather continues...
with extremely hot temperatures.
Friday was a busy day on the farm.
Dr. Becky floated the donkey's teeth.

Chloe had her staples removed.
The good news is... we are going to watch the area
where her sarcoid was removed...
and hold off on the cisplatin treatments for now.
As of now, everything looks great!

At one point during the procedures,
she went on a sit-down strike.

When the donkeys were done,
we finished up the morning floating Ollie and Red's teeth.

All were well behaved and procedures were finished
lickety-split.
(Such good boys!)

Now, all of the equines are good for another two years or so.

Amanda is home for a few days.
We took her on a bike ride Saturday morning.
(This photo was taken by my phone as it rode in my basket...
unbeknownst to me.)
The phone obviously has some inherent talent!

The rest of the weekend, our Littles spent here on the farm.
Saturday and Sunday were filled with adventures and smiles galore!

Helping gather eggs...

Loving on a chicken...

Feeding goats...

Family time... picking blueberries...

There's nothing better than fresh picked blueberries.

Picking and eating red raspberries...

Spending time with Aunt Amanda and Griz...

Lots of gator rides...

Searching for worms...

Squirmy wormy....

Making and eating s'mores at the campfire...

Chocolate, chocolate everywhere...

Finding toads...

Gentle touching....

Very brave, indeed...

A gigantic spider on the fire pit...

Feeding pigs...

Saying good morning to the flock...

Walking horses to the pasture...

Cousins, enjoying the cool pool...

It was a wonderful weekend that is extending into Monday.
I'm a little short on the storytelling today...
but, as you can see by our photos...
We've been quite busy!

This Grammie's heart couldn't be more full or happier.
Time spent with these three is my favorite time.
Spending those times here on the farm is a sweet as can be...
time that I hope will be remembered for their entire lives.

What a perfect 4th of July weekend!! Ours was perfect too. Our town had a "reverse parade". Cars and pickups were decorated and drove around a "parade route". As it happened they drove past my daughters house so we got to watch from there. It did seem like a much more laid back 4th....with lots of fun. xoxoxox
