Yesterday's sunrise was magnificent!
But what struck me even more was the post-sunrise sky.
It looked as though these clouds were painted on a canvas of blue...
quite unusual, and definitely noteworthy.
And that was the last of the farm that I saw for the day.
I headed out as the sun rose for a morning of keeping Mackenzie followed by an afternoon
of nursing work.
When I returned home we retrieved the memory cards from the game cameras in the woods.
If you have followed this blog for a while, then you will remember
that I sometimes post "A Walk On The Wild Side".
Because I was away from the farm yesterday,
I have decided to share our wilder side with you here today.
And if you have followed me for a while,
then you will definitely say that I got "the money shot!"
There were many pictures of this fellow...
We either have one very busy fox,
or many foxes in our woods.
There are also coyotes...
and deer, does...
(hello, there!)
and bucks...
raccoons...
turkeys...
stray kitties...
I think...
There were a few pictures of neighbors' escaped horses...
running through the woods...
But the best picture of all...
the money shot...
the one I have waited for...
for what seems like forever....
YES!!!
A bear!
Well, as you can see, there is much activity in our woods at night.
That's so very exciting to me...
knowing that we are surrounded by so much life.
And having the ability to see what we don't ordinarily see is so much fun!
