I can't tell you how glad I am that I got to clean the pasture on Tuesday!
Because....
This is what I woke up to on Wednesday...
Yes, another 4 inches of snow has fallen on the farm.
We are back to square one.
Back to slipping and sliding, and frozen manure.
I spent a part of yesterday morning on this...
doing this...
In honor of the single snow-less day that I got to enjoy,
I will share this video that I shot on that day...
as I visited with Daphne and Chloe.
You will see that making a video with these two gals is a bit difficult.
They are quite friendly and terribly nosey!

I still want donkeys and your video confirmed that, way too cute.
Happy Snow Day, hugs!!
They are just too cute! So affectionate and curious. Loved that Sammy kissed the donkey. You are so lucky to be able to spend your time with these wonderful 'babies'!
I found your blog about a month ago and I have read your archives from the beginning. I really enjoy your blog. I don't really know you or your animals and such (I think it'd be great if I did!) But I actually had tears in my eyes when I read about Edith and her nest. You present a very charming side of your farm, even though it takes alot of hard work you don't seem to complain and it drew me in. You have become one of my internet idols. I so want to become self sufficient, right now I am overwhelmed with getting started. One day DH and I will move to a dream home in Ky but for now I will be a backyard homesteader. I wish I could take the courses you were giving. How can I be 39 and just now realizing that I was raised to be dependent on supermarkets and processed foods! Not only that but the animal interactions I have always wanted but never had the space to have. Thank you for sharing your life, farm and family. I just felt I needed to say that. Sorry this comment is soo long. I tried to send an email but it wouldnt link up. You have taught this woman who lives closer to the city of Chicago than the farms of Indiana alot!
