I can be a very solitary person... happily immersed in all that is happening around me. However, here on the farm, I am rarely alone - if ever.
Yesterday, while out doing afternoon chores, I had a few minutes with nothing to do while the hose was refilling the horses' water trough - so I sat down on the front edge of the barn aisle and basked in the warmth of the afternoon sun.
Within seconds, my lap was full. Pete.
Then Chester came over to chat a bit (he's the jealous type).
As Chester settled in beside me, one of the Bea's came over.
Before long, Bobby, old man of the farm, also came over to say hi.
However, not to be upstaged, Chester pushed his nose in even further.
Before I could roll up my sleeves to catch the sun's rays, my entire body was shaded by four-legged friends.
You see? Never alone. And let's not even talk about the bathroom!
