Bunny Hop

A few times in my life, Easter has fallen on my birthday.

This year was one of them.  Easter is one of those holidays that I love to host here on the farm... egg hunts, Easter brunch, and a day spent with family.

Because the day was so full... I will jut share a few of the photos from our day.

The food... I made lots of sourdough goodies... sticky buns, sourdough orange cranberry bread (wonderful recipe), and sourdough baguettes... and lots of brunch-type foods.

Some of you will remember this guy when he was born almost 14 years ago and came home to live on the farm for his first year.  What a sweet young man he has grown to be... Tyler.   And he's now bigger than his Grammy.

There were 16 of us at the table.

The sound of happy chatter and laughter around the table filled my heart.

After brunch, we had an egg hunt for all of the kids.  Easter goodies were hidden all over the farm.  Each of the older kids had a riddle to solve in order to find their treat.

Jack also hid a set of clues all over the farm for the three little ones to follow.  Elijah, the youngest,
at 3 ½ stayed close to "Muppie"

while the other two ran from clue to clue.

Forrest got into the spirit of an egg hunt when he found a random guinea egg in the woods.  As you can see, he was not going to give it up!

Someone tangled with a dragon on the Dragon Tree Trail as he was following clues.  He picked his own bandaid!

For all of the birthday wishes through social media and texting, yesterday,
I thank you.  It was a wonderful day.  My heart is full.

And now we close the book on March and enter into April.  So many spring delights to enjoy in the coming month!  Happy April Friends!

OMG! I cannot believe that Tyler is almost all grown up! He was an adorable baby and just as cute now! You have such a lovely family.
Happy belated birthday, Bev.
Well! Happy Birthday farm friend! It is extra fun and exciting when birthdays fall on holidays. My hubby and his sister were born on New Year's Day 2 years apart so we start every year with much celebration. It looks like your place was THE place to celebrate Easter this year. I can see by all the smiling faces that a good time was had by all.
Our day was blessed too. Sunrise Service @ 6:45 a.m. on top of our hill. Refreshments followed by church itself. Then a family dinner. A glorious Resurrection Sunday!!

Ditto to all above! I'm wondering what kind of cake you chose for yourself and hid under all that beautiful icing and decorations?
