April Showers 2.0

Yesterday was the second day of April and the second day of steady rainfall (most of the day!)

You could say it's raining cats and dogs...

well, at least, dogs!

The rain gauge shows we have received 2.1 inches of rain.

But... on an already soggy land, that means billions of gallons of run-off...

making the streams swell beyond their shores.  Eventually, all of this water will end up in our river system.  Then the rivers will spill over their banks as well.  It's not the best week to have waterfront real estate!

Of course, Forrest has been having a blast with all of this excess water.

There is no way to keep him out of it... so we have just accepted the fact that we own a soggy doggy!

Happy Birthday to our eternally messy boy!!  He turned one year old yesterday!

I'm sure Forrest is in all his glory with all that water! Happy first birthday Forrest!!
We've been under flood watch for two days here. Snow coming in tonight after tornado watch since Monday night.
Welcome to April. Hopefully you will dry out soon! But always nice to have indoor days too.
