I awoke yesterday morning to a fresh, unexpected snowfall.
The sight of it filled me with such happiness. The world shimmered and my soul felt light. I have had a shift in perspective over the past several days.
I set an intention to welcome as much positive energy into my life as I can and then give it back to the universe whenever possible.
Yesterday's snow, as it covered the mud of the previous week reminded me that a shift in mindset can be received just as easily as the earth receives the snow. It's a matter of being open and receptive and willing to look at life from different perspectives.
Just the addition of a half inch of glistening, crystalized flakes made the world fresh and clean. And though the snow will melt and leave the ground muddy once more - its beauty was worth the inconvenience. And the water absorbed by our land is so very important to life.
The sunrise was spectacular...
bathing the herd in a warm glow
as they enjoyed their breakfast in the front pasture.
The birds were not as happy with the snow as I was.
As we drove out to the barn for morning chores,
I had my usual passenger on my lap. Bobby rides to the barn both mornings and evenings... an adventure.
Just to share a little carbohydrate porn with you.... yesterday's bread baking... delicious!
