Welcome Autumn

In the early morning light...

the sun's rays gently kissing the earth....

critters, wild...

and tame, softly chewing in the mist that lifts from the land.

The previous night's raindrops still hanging...

making spiderwebs glisten...

the moon, waning but awake, hangs high in the sky...

as the trees begin their autumn transformation...

donning their coat of many colors.

And so, Autumn moves across the land,
bringing with him new sights and sounds and smells.

We bundle up in jackets and gloves for morning chores,
and return home to the comforting smells of pumpkin, and apple, and cinnamon.
Welcome Autumn...feel free to stay for a while!

Beautiful pictures. I especially love the spider webs. This is my favorite time of the year...however I would enjoy it more if I was somewhere else besides work. Ha Ha!
