There's no doubt about it... Mother Nature has a sense of humor. Yesterday, on our daily hike in the woods, we came upon this tree.
Doesn't it look like a chimpanzee's face?
We spent a very quiet weekend here on the farm with the critters.
We took time for snuggles and extra chores, like pasture cleaning and pig-feet trimming.
As I was snuggling with Daphne, Forrest was investigating donkey smells.
That is until Daphne had enough, and chased him off.
The spring-like temperatures of last week having exited, we spent a bit of time next to the fire on Sunday. I am working on another embroidery project which I will show you tomorrow.
And Hubbs worked on cutting out parts for some bat houses that the local Girl Scouts are going to assemble and hang in appropriate places. The one below is a finished prototype.
This coming week, we are going to take sourdough bread baking to the next level. I'll share more as the week progresses. It's going to be a learning process!

Forrest is just inquisitive and how's a doggie supposed to figure things out without a sniff here or there? Ha.
Kitty looks cozy.
Look forward to seeing your next project. Working on some stitching projects myself.
Stay warm and toasty. Make the most of today. It will be tomorrow before we know it!
We still have temps in the 50's today with the promise of 2-6 inches of snow tomorrow.. The landscaping crew cleaned out all the beds today in preparation for tanbark. We usually have snow on top of the tanbark. Way too early but they have nothing else to do.
Bat houses and sourdough bread. Always a project!
Have a good week. Hugs
