Yesterday was the perfect day to stay indoors and watch the world from our windows.
This, however, is not farm life. No, we are in the thick of the weather no matter what it might be - and yesterday was soggy!
These kinds of days are perfect for this time of year... so atmospheric!
Even though it was raining, the horses still had their grazing time. I've learned that they could not care less about the weather - especially at grazing time! The donkeys... well, that's another story. They prefer the shelter of their little shed when anything is falling from the sky.
Some utilize the day wisely, taking cat naps! (I love how the Beas have tiny white hairs inside their inky black ears!)
The garden is beginning its period of rest. This week's frost will see to that!
Next year's garlic crop is beginning to erupt. The entire box is planted, but only the earliest planting has emerged... the rest will soon join it. We should have a great garlic harvest next summer! Enough to keep the vampires away!!
A conversation heard through the morning mist...
Happy Halloween, Friends!!
