Sunday into Monday was our Elijah's first solo stay with Grammie and Muppy. His older siblings have spent the night here countless times, but until now, Elijah had not. In fact, he had not had any sleepovers without his siblings, ever. So... this was a pretty big deal.
And judging from his reaction to his special time, I believe it is just the first in many special visits.
This guy is such a willing farmhand, and just might be our best pooper-scooper to date.
He's quite meticulous and takes his jobs very seriously.
He enjoyed giving treats to Ginger and Faith,
and ventured into the front pasture to give Ginger a little extra loving.
No visit is ever complete without a little driving time in the mini-gator!
We took the dogs for their daily walk in the woods and spent a lot of time looking at acorns.
We talked about how they grow into big oak trees... at least the ones that aren't eaten by the animals, or stuffed in the pocket of an almost-three-year-old!
We searched the ground for mushrooms and found a few new varieties:

I must admit that many of your different mushrooms look the same to me despite different names. Good reason not to go out and pick and eat them! 😄
