Peace

This is all that I wish for this world...

Peace.

If two animals, one predator, one prey, can show such tolerance, why can't we humans?

We have much more in common than these two, and yet...

(Yes, "Sillygirl", you are absolutely right.  The News, and especially social media, is filled with disturbing stories.  We need a balance between the bad that happens in this world and all of the good that is seemingly un-noticed each day.  It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that the entire world has gone to $&%@... when, in fact, there is so much good to be found.  Yes, there is evil in the world... but the scales is still heavier on the good side - we just don't hear about it.)

Yesterday, after the horses and donkeys had had their grazing time, I opened the front pasture for the pigs and sheep.

We were blessed with another warm, partly sunny day - something I certainly don't take for granted this spring.

After visiting with the pigs for a few moments (and giving adequate belly rubs), I left the pasture via the dry lot gate and sat down in the dirt.

As always happens, it took no time for a curious someone to come for a visit.

Before long, my lap was filled with two donkeys and a cat.

Beside me on the ground, another cat, and within feet of me, a dog.

These are my most favorite moments... the best that farm life gives me... peace and serenity in the midst of these souls that I love so dearly.  I am not sure what emotions are felt by them for me, but I do feel a certain amount of affection.

It's mutual!

 Last order of business....

Lynne (Irish Garden House)... your number was randomly picked by the wheel.  Oh, if only I had 41 shawls.  To the rest of you... I am so sorry.   There will be more in the future, however... but not for a while, as outdoor work now takes precedence.  Lynne, your shawl will be in the mail in the next few days!

I agree with you that not enough focus is placed on the good nature of most folks. This month, being Autism Awareness Month, has found me finding encouraging stories of those on the spectrum who are living their best life. It's so easy to get discouraged, but we must find the light in all things.

I agree with Colleen, you are definitely part of the goodness.

I love your PEACE post . . .
and all the animal snuggles!
And isn’t it the truth . . .
Sitting right down on the ground,
many of “the team” came right over for a snuggle.

A friend of mine started a JOY post on FB
and I have been enjoying each day as I
look personally into my joys.
I have felt such a PEACE as I have been reminded . . .
And then . . .

WOWZIE . . .
Mizzy just hollered at me and told me.
Oh my Beverly, I am thrilled to receive your Shawl Gift!
Surprised too!
Thank you . . . Thank you ❤️

Happy Easter Springtime weekend . . .
love

I think we are all happy for Lynne - we can all borrow joy from another person's fortune, can't we. And we can all influence those around us - any feeling we put out is catching. I look at your blog each day to "catch" that peace.

I agree with everyone else ... You, Hubbs, and all your critters are an integral part of the peace and happiness we share with you, them, and those around us in our own communities!
Thank you!

One of the many reasons
I read your blog is the
fact that it is always a
peaceful place to go on the
Internet and not hear scarry
fears and battles happening
with deliberate wrongs occurring.
I like to hear loving stories, kind
and appreciative hearts. I also enjoy
and look forward to reading all the
wonderful, friendly responses
at the end of your blog. It is all
refreshing!

If all the kind, compassionate people banded together, maybe we could form our own Utopia. Oh wait, the Hippies already tried that in the '60s. About all we can do is pray, share our money with worthy causes, complain to the Media loudly that we are tired of their negativity, and most importantly VOTE! Blessings to you Beverly for giving us a place to recharge.
