For those who voiced concern about the barn kitties during the cold winter months...
have no fear - they are toasty warm... three little cheeseburgers in a row!
It's been wonderful having Tyler around the farm more these days. Working with animals is great for boosting kids' self esteem.
He's a very willing helper. I only hope he looks back on these days fondly!
Coming back to the barn from morning pasture time....
News Flash!! Posie has finally laid an egg! She is an Easter egger... laying lovely light green eggs. We had them for breakfast yesterday morning - such beautiful orange yolks!
For the last several weeks/months there has been a very tame house sparrow living in one of our chicken houses.
It's there every morning when we open up the house for the day... staying behind as the chickens rush out.
It seems to enjoy the availability of limitless meals and shelter from the cold.
I can't help but think it also enjoys the company of the barnyard gossipers!
We are spending most of our Thanksgiving Day at home, but joining friends for our traditional lunch. Tomorrow we will be spending the day with our family here on the farm.
We will be taking tomorrow off, but we will be back on Monday with tales of the holiday.
From our farm to you:
Happy Thanksgiving, Friends!!
There is much for which I am grateful. On that list is YOU. I so appreciate your visits. You are a bright spot in every day. Life is so much better when shared with friends. I thank you for that!

Happy Thanksgiving Beverly . . .
You are a blessing to so many!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours from Ohio. This will be our first Thanksgiving in our new home here. I do miss those we spent the holiday with at our old home, but will make new memories with the family here. I hope you have a wonderful day making beautiful memories with your loved ones!
