Here A Chick, There a Chick, Everywhere a Chick-Chick!

There is nothing cuter than babies.  Whether it be human or animal, babies automatically make us smile.  Many of you know how absolutely irresistible chicks are.

And that is why today's blog is just a short peek into the brooder house.... a short visit with 35 adorable chicks.  Who, I might add, are quite active!

Enjoy!!

In case the above video doesn't load, here is a link.

I had a little free time yesterday afternoon after animal chores and garden chores were finished, so I started a project that I have been thinking of lately.  I thought it might be fun to try to paint our dogs.  I started with Chester (when he was a youngster).  Here is yesterday's attempt...

And though it looks pretty much like Chester, I see all of the things that I would do differently next time.  It's all a learning process... a way of stretching my brain a little as I get older.  I am going to keep at it... just for fun!

If there is something that you think you might like to learn... give it a try.  Be fearless, what have you got to lose!  Life is short!

You have natural talent - in so many things! I can't wait until you start selling your paintings - I'm in! Have a great weekend:) PS - I bought a bag on etsy from you - thinking that because it was wool it would only be used in the winter - was I ever wrong about that! The windowpane plaid can be used all year round - and I'm doing just that:) It's just a wonderful bag . . .
Oh Bev, the chicks are so cute and I love the music you used in that video! Wow....you have some real artistic talent. that pic of Chester is just awesome. Can't wait to see you draw all the dogs...and then the cats? and then?????
