A rainy day kept us inside for much of yesterday. Those who stayed outside wore soggy pajamas!
Every time we are out and about, we stop in to check on the chicklets. Old Tom keeps watch over the chicken yard.
No chick-snatching intruders can make it past this fellow!
I am happy to report that all of them are still alive and seem quite robust.
A couple of the black ones have already developed a bit of an attitude and stand up to each other defiantly. They are so comical.
They flit around their house at top speed and peck at everything laying on the ground.... quite busy little ones, they are!
Even with the rain (which we desperately needed), the farm is quite lovely.
All of the crabapple trees are flowering.
When the wind blows, it looks like pink snow falling from the trees.
The lilacs and snowball viburnum bushes are loaded with blossoms. What a lovely smell they bring into the house!
We'll be back Monday to share our adventures. Have a great weekend!!
