Nosies

I have this thing for animal nosies and lips.

I am sure that my animals think me crazy,

as I am always taking their noses in my hands

and kissing them.

Ok, well, not this one... it's always a little slimy.

But, to me, it's just a sweet as the others!

There is just something about those soft sweet lips and nosies
that I just cannot resist!

We had a lovely day yesterday... sunny, but chilly.
I worked in the garden for a while in the afternoon.

I planted those potatoes that I found growing roots in my basement pantry.

I hated to disturb what had already been grown, so I dug
narrow channels and placed potato and roots into them and
covered them up.

I see no reason why they won't grow plants and then new potatoes.
If they do... then those potatoes were absolutely free...
a gift from 2019.
Remember 2019?   It was a good year!
2020? Well, the jury's out on that one.

I also planted 160 onion sets... red and white.

While I worked in the garden, Hubbs used his wood chipper
and chipped up the willow tree that we lost in last week's
wind storm.

We then dumped the chipped wood into the horses' dry lot.

They will use this as a bed for napping,
and likely a potty as well.
That is, after they are finished sifting through it for
tender little twigs and leaves.

A few of you asked what the plaque next to the front door
of the shed is...

Bee Happy!!
Good advice these days!

Nighttime at the shed...

solar fairy lights to add a bit of magic.

Must admit I also love kissing noses and sweet lips. Your 'Shed' is much too delightful to be called a 'Shed'. It looks absolutely wonderful with the fairy lights. I do think you will have to come up with a nicer name for it though. You have done so much to it in such a short space of time. Looking forward to seeing how the interior is going to look - with your taste I can only guess it will be amazing.

I think you're not alone in this nose and lips love, Bev! Animal noses are just precious and soft! We only have cats, and along with their noses are those sweet toe beans that need kisses! (although cats are not as cooperative as other animals!)

I just love what you've done to your shed. I read a blog by a woman in Scotland, who calls hers a "shedudio" where she does her painting and sketching. I thought that was so clever! How about "Bev's Bungalow?" No matter what you call it, I will continue to enjoy its transformation!
Looks like a great day on the farm...love those furry faces! Can you point me to the brand of solar lights you use that burn with a warm glow? All I'm seeing online are LED lights with a white/blue light and I'd just like something warmer. Thanks a bunch! Mary-Windy Meadows Farm

That little cabin in the woods is just way too cute and the faery lights just add to the cuteness! What is also needed are a few of your little woodland faeries ... drawn to the light of those little lights! The bunnies in the flower garden need a little company! 🐰🐇
We're in for more snow here in S. Colorado today ... Springtime in the Rockies ... such fun! LOL

Oh yes - I'm a big fan of 'muzzle' kisses - so velvety! And I love the slippery feeling of pig's noses!

**I saw a tea kettle on Amazon yesterday - yellow with bees! I thought of Bee Haven Acres:)

Have a wonderful day . .

Bev, don't laugh,, the first 'crop' of taters I ever grew,, was quit by accident.. I had tossed some old sprayed taters out into the compost bin.. a short time later I had 'plants'.. having forgotten what was in the bin, I donned on a pair of gloves and stuck my hand into/under the plants,, low and behold,, Taters! lol!
The 'she shed' looks magical with the lights. Love to hear horses while they are munching hay and their noses are like velvet. Not sure about the donkeys.....I've never owned one. Piggies have personality plus so they don't need to be attractive or have soft noses. It's so funny to hear them eat with all the grunting. Even our chickens are relaxing to watch eat with all their scratching on the ground. My Aerocana(spelling?) flies to the top of one of the trash cans as I'm scooping feed and eats out of my hand.
