A Journey (Or Two)

Yesterday morning as I rounded up the horses
from their night of grazing in the upper pasture,
I thought about how each of these souls came to live here on the farm.

I thought, perhaps, you might enjoy reading Moonbeam's story today.
It's a story not only of him, but also of myself
and the evolution of my love for horses.

You can read Moonbeam's Story... HERE
It's a story without pictures... a work in progress, but you might enjoy it all the same.

I will be gone for the next few days....
heading to North Carolina to visit a friend who broke her hip.
I am leaving the farm in Hubb's care... while I make the 9 hour drive today,
and then home again on Thursday.

Bev, I love Moonbeam's story and didn't want it to end. The first part of the story was so sad but the ending was so happy. Do you have anymore stories like this to share? Please write a book... I'll be the first to buy it :)
Thanks so much for sharing this. xxxxx

I follow your blog everyday but have never commented --- until now. Absolutely touched me so much, I had to tell you. Would make a beautiful chapter in a book that I too would buy. Linda in Tn.

Moonbeam's story is delightful. He is a very handsome boy.

Be careful driving and may the angels be with you on your journey.

I love that you and Moonbeam found each other.
Loved your story telling . . .
I hope Red ended up in a better life setting . . .
Sad for him . . .

Well I'm one of those who was born with the horse gene in my being. Wouldn't live without one or two (right now four) in my fields. Your story is a frequent one, it's truly awful that there are indeed horse sellers out there who would treat potential buyers in just the way you described. There is a big one who has been in operation in CT for many years now. His policy is 30 day return is OK, but only for a trade. You don't get your money back. That is NOT how to assure horses a good home or potential buyers a good horse.

Glad you were able to secure a few to love, and what lucky horses they are.
