A Winter Afternoon

Yesterday brought a lovely surprise.

More snow!

I ran a few errands - post office, bank, grocery, feed store - in the morning,
and got home in time to enjoy an afternoon of this.

Going out to do afternoon chores was a treat...

everything was just beautiful!

I grabbed a little video for you as I worked...

Temperatures are supposed to plummet again over the next couple of days...

so, I believe we will get to enjoy this winter wonderland until at least next week,
when it is predicted to warm up again.

We've had such erratic winter weather.
One never knows what the next week will bring!

Loved the video Bev. Everyone seems to be dealing with your winter weather very well indeed (and so do you).

It would be wonderful if all animals could be that loved and content.
How is the progress with the solar panels going?

Those piggy girls were smackin' down on their grub. Luv the piggy smacking noises. They are sweet girls.

I'm glad we didn't get that kind of snow on Monday night. Got barely a dusting. Of course any kind of winter weather shuts Mississippi down.

The snow is just magical. I hope we get another snowfall before winter is over.

I'm so glad that Annie has Chester to run and play with. Takes the pressure off of Sammie. ;0D

Enjoy your winter wonderland!

I am new to your blog and your site after reading the article about you in the new Country magazine. The only thing you are missing are a few alpacas and maybe a llama as a guard. I raise alpacas - and 1 llama - in SC as well as 2 miniature horses. Love your diversity.

Love it all - the video with the beloved animals enjoying their snacks. Tell Ginger and Maryanne that this is the Year of the Pig - extra Ritz crackers all year!
The deep, dark tones of the Winter colors reminds me of old masters' paintings.

Lovely! I know I said I'd spend my days watching the kittens, but now I think I would spend my time with the donkeys...no the pigs...no the horses...no the...

I usually don't mind the winter either but it is so stinkin' cold here this morning (-18) plus a windchill that puts us at -42. Enough of this already. Keep warm and it is coming your way so be careful.

A blanket of fresh white snow is always so beautiful! But a polar vortex is not -- stay warm!

Oh Bev, that video was gorgeous...seeing all your critters and watching the snow fall and hearing the pretty music. The only critters I missed not seeing were your crazy runner ducks! Oh and the turkeys too! So many fun animals to see at your place. Glad you haven't gotten this way below zero weather. Hopefully that will stay away from you and yours!
