Our weekend was a bit of a whirlwind.
Saturday was a day away from the farm...
a trip to Philadelphia for Inna's wedding
(you might remember we held the Fall in Love bridal shower for her this past October.)
Inna and her mother and brother immigrated to the US from Russia when Inna was a child.
Her groom, Steve, a helicopter pilot for the Coast Guard is also of Russian descent.
The two of them were married in a Russian Orthodox church.
It was a perfect day for these two to start their life together...
warm and sunny...unusual for this time of year.
Back on the farm, Sunday, the sun disappeared and we returned to gray skies.
With the exception of 5 hours Sunday morning where Annie went AWOL,
it was a quiet day...perfect for a Sunday after the hustle and bustle of Christmas!
Hubbs and I search on foot and in car, calling and calling for Annie....
we feared her gone forever.
Luckily, she returned, and is once again wearing her good girl collar... just as a reminder!
Of all the days that I could imagine,
my favorite ones are the ones spent on the farm.
Doing chores and visiting with our animals are what makes me happy.
And with the exception of spending time with our family and friends,
it's really all I need!
These next few days will find me thinking of what we've experienced and learned over the past year
in preparation for planning our next year.
This next year is going to be full of some really big events...
all of which I will share with you along the way.
We are even contemplating some new animal additions to the farm.
I think 2015 is going to be a great year!
