Every week we travel to the woods with so much anticipation...
to gather the memory cards from our trail cameras.
It's amazing how many critters are running through our woods when we are not there!
Hiking to the cameras is half the fun...
the other half is downloading the pictures...
waiting for the surprises.
Yesterday we put our hike to good use...
for our annual "No Trespassing" update.
Each year, before hunting season, we walk the perimeter of our 140+ acres
making sure that the perimeter is clearly defined with "NO Trespassing" signs.
It has become a yearly tradition that we look forward to...
and one that the dogs thoroughly enjoy.
As for the cameras...
Here is the best from the past week...
Whoa....fox on the run!
What a busy fox!....
Raccoon.....
Can you find the critter in the photo below?
Where's Waldo?
Mr. Fox....again....
Mr. Fox returns...
One of our 10,000 opossums!
PS...Waldo was a squirrel at the top of the picture...climbing a tree.
We had about 20 photos of that same squirrel...up and down and up and down.
We had a little snow on Saturday...first snowflakes of the season.
Nothing stayed on the ground...but it was lovely as it fell from the sky!
