Tricks and Treats

This was the weekend for Halloween celebration here on the farm.

We joined our friends and neighbors at a local farm for a corn maze…

an amazing corn maze.

Take a look, here it is from the air!

We started the maze at dusk,

found all of the hidden clues…

 and finished in the dark!

Great fun!

Pumpkin carving was next on the agenda and we made it a neighborhood event…

Pretty great pumpkins!

Hubbs' skull and crossbones, my moon and stars and our neighbor Scott's minion…

A jack-o-lantern and a mustang by Kathy and Jim…

Last but not least, a Halloween party for the pigs…

with pumpkin seed treats…

(which I had read were good for getting rid of intestinal parasites…

not sure if there is any validity to that…

but it was worth a try)

Guess what?

Ginger and MaryAnn wanted nothing to do with the pumpkin seeds.
They both turned up their little piggy noses!

Yuck!  What kind of party is this?

Partying always wears us out!
