Weekend Projects

We had a lovely sunny Saturday.
I finally had the chance to finish a project that kept getting
rain delays.
And of course I had helpers.
Now, check out my helpers and see if you can guess what my project was!

My Bourbon Reds are a lovely shade of "Organic Garden Green".

So you guessed...I was painting!
I decided that the garden shed needed to match the playhouse.
Now that it is finished, I am so glad I did it!
What do you think?

It makes me smile, just looking at it!

The planters are now full of brightly colored blooms, too.
The garden perimeter weeding is finished.
As is the mulching all around it.
I have added clay pots full of morning glories, hyacinth beans,
and black-eyed Susan vines around the perimeter.
I also planted a wisteria, two trumpet flower vines, and another vine
(I just can't remember the name of the last one.)
These last four are perennial vines that should get thicker each year.

Sunday was goat moving day.

The Fainting Goat moms and babies left the maternity ward
by Becky's barn, travelled across the orchard field and settled into
their summer quarters next to our Dwarf Nigerian goats.

Ok, everybody...line up!

Now, follow O'Malley!

Such good goats!  Everyone stayed together....

and moved into their new quarters, without incident.

I thought I would share a picture of Henri with you.
He has finally decided to venture out of doors with Fifi and the gals.
Isn't he handsome??  I agree that he looks like a Polish Crested,
but his color is unusual...sort of buff and white.
And check out those white legs!
I think Henri has been spending just a little too much time inside!

And last I wanted to show you our lovely rhubarb.

Which ended up in a pot of organic rhubarb applesauce.
Yum!

Bev, your garden shed looks gorgeous in the colors you chose! Whoever said, something practical couldn't look pretty... I can't wait to see what everything looks like once it really greens up.
I'm a tad bit jealous, your rhubarb looks so yummy. Since our plants drowned this spring, I have to buy our rhubarb at the store. :-(
I love your little sheds. Too adorable!

I love the colors on the shed and playhouse. Your shed will look so pretty with all those flowers and vines you planted.
Just had to tell you - I didn't know what fainting goats were, so I looked it up. So funny, do they really "faint"?
For some reason, our rhubarb didn't come up very well this year, so we went to the store to buy some for our son's birthday pie! Well, what we found wasn't worth buying, so I made due with more strawberries.

Have a great day, Bev!
Very pretty garden shed...hmmmm...I think I have another project for my hubby! To build a garden shed so I can paint it and decorate the area lol. He will want me to not read blogs anymore with all the great ideas everyone has!

I so envy you. I want a garden shed so bad and just love the colors you used to paint it. I believe your little rooster is definitely a crested polish. I have a crested polish hen (Lady Gaga) who looks just like Henri. Have a great week.

The playhouse and Herb houses look so cute! Great job...can't wait to see all the vines grown all over the place.
I used to make rhubard sauce all the time but those look like apples? That look real good.
