Oh if only I were telling you a wonderfully sweet tale
of goatie birth...
but alas, no babies have arrived as of yet.
Sissy is taking her good ole time
eating pickles and ice cream
and making us wait and wait and wait!
I did, however, get a special delivery yesterday.
Our post lady brought two rather heavy boxes.
Filled with....
Can you guess????
"Dirt!" you say.
No, not dirt.
Each box held 5,000 worm cocoons.
Teenie, tiny worm cocoons...no larger than a grain of salt.
In fact in this next picture you see just that....
grains that look like salt.
Not salt, but worm babies.
Well, not even babies yet....just the promise of babies.
I took handfuls of this rich worm cocoon -filled compost and spread it
over all of my garden boxes,
and then worked it into the top layer of soil.
Meanwhile, my sidekick, TomTom rolled around in the
remains of last year's asparagus patch.
Crazy cat!
You've got to see that face up close!
Yikes!
Oh, and guess who was seen sneaking out of the rooster house
last night at close-up time?
Yep, that crazy cat was paying a visit to the Roos!
Needless to say, they were not too happy to have him
in their pad.
No harm done, though,
TomTom is only curious.....
not a mean bone in his body!
Good night Roos...
wonder if they'll dream about cats?

Does Sissy know that the blogging friends are waiting, too?
I didn't know you could order earthworm cocoons? I thought you could only order live worms. I may have to look into this.
Your cat looks happy to have signs of spring finally arriving.
I've ordered honeybees that have been mailed to me. The post office substation will call you at 3am if they get a screen box or two full of bees! ;)
