Guess Who's Coming For Breakfast?

Good morning.  We're starting a new week and leaving a very rainy one behind.

Spring rains are a necessity.  When mixed with sufficient sun, they are part of the perfect equation for growth.

Believe it or not, we have already begun our mowing season!  After noticing the garden paths growing up the sides of the garden boxes, I realized that I had better mow or I would soon need a machete!  Now, it is fresh and green and brimming with possibilities.

With Sunday's sun came a need for a little adventure, so we took Forrest to visit his brother Oakley.

After not having seen each other all winter long, they were so excited as they greeted each other with the wiggliest butts!

They played fetch and ran and had a great time... the perfect ending to a sunny spring day!  And yes, it's hard to tell them apart - especially when they are both moving.  They both have identical wiggly butts!

We've had a bit of a mystery lately at the pond.  Several ducks have been arriving in the morning for breakfast - but upon seeing us filling their food bowl, they take off before they get a chance to eat.  So, in order to not bother them, Jack has been filling their bowl at night so that it's ready for them in the morning.  However, it seemed as though more food was being eaten than one would have expected for the number of ducks.

Mysteries like this are most easily solved by the placement of a game camera.

Here were the extra visitors...

A little later in the morning:  Look who's back!

It seems everyone loves duck food!  Now open for business:  Bee Haven Acres Animal Food Pantry.

Forrest and Oakley are just pure joy. Isn't it amazing that one of his brothers is named Oakley, one of your family's dog's names? There are NO coincidences! ;0D Thank you for making my day with this cheerful post. Enjoy the glory of spring.
