Merry Christmas!

 Good Morning!

The sun is not yet up.  There's a peace in our house that will very soon disappear.  I am up assembling sticky buns that have been rising overnight... breakfast for the family that still sleeps.  Hubbs is donning his work clothes and heading out to care for the critters while I get breakfast started.

We enjoyed a pierogi- making day with friends to kick off the week, and then enjoyed eating those delicious pierogis for several meals afterward.

And then a wonderful week with our Colorado kids,

with our kids and littles from North Carolina joining us later in the week.

It's wonderful having a house-full... family dinners, games of Mexica train dominoes, heartfelt discussions, walks in the woods, movies, and more.  I proudly hold the record for the highest score (losing, of course) in a single round of dominoes!

We've had visits to our animal friends - very new experiences for our Carolina littles.

Time slows down when the house is full of family and we take time to just enjoy each and every moment.

Today is crunch day for food preparation as tomorrow is our big family celebration.  All of the baking is done.  Just the dinner needs to be prepped.  Then, all of our local farm family arrives tomorrow for a day of fun and fellowship.

I thought I would check in this morning while I have a moment, just to share a few of the precious moments from this past week.

Here's hoping your Christmas is peaceful and bright.  Winter Solstice arrived last evening so every day will now get just a tiny bit longer for those of you who enjoy the dark less than the light.  This is a difficult time for many, these holiday seasons.  My wish for you is that your heart is filled with sweet memories of seasons past and hope for the future.  Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers each and every day.

My heart is full of gratitude for the beautiful family that surrounds me.  I am grateful for the opportunity to care for the souls that I love - all the while knowing that these days are fleeting.  And so, I will squeeze every last moment out of each of them and share some of the best with you along the way.

Sending love and hugs from all of the farm.

Merry Christmas to you!  And if Christmas is not your tradition - all the best to you this holiday season.       You are loved!
