Your Daily Dose of Puppy (at least for now)

Good morning, Farm Friends!  Forrest- here.

It’s so nice to make your acquaintance (as you can see my manners are impeccable… or was that impractical?). Well whatever - Mom and Dad tell me I’m a good boy.  I’m bringing you today’s post because Mom and Dad are very busy right now.  I was so surprised when Mom told me how many people wrote welcome notes for me.

So, I thought I would tell you all about my first two days in my new home.

Apparently I am a two - person job right now.  I’m not sure what a job is but Mom keeps telling me I’m going to have one when I get a little bigger… and after my listening ears work a little better!

She also says I need to grow into my body, because my back legs are faster than my front ones.  I just love running.  Dad yells, “run, Forrest, run!”

I have lots of new friends already.

One of my favorites is Bobby cat.

I tried wrestling with him on my first day, but he boxed my ears.  So, now I have learned to be gentle with cats (mostly), although sometimes I nibble on his ears.  He doesn't seem to mind much.

We take lots of walks and I try real hard to keep up with the big dogs,

but sometimes I just have to stop and take a little rest.

I have gotten a lot more adventurous on our walks, but always keep one eye out for Mom or Dad.  They make me feel safe and secure.

I've learned a few lessons.  I'm pretty sure that my name is Forrest.  But, it also might be that kissy sound that Mom always makes.  I'm sure I will understand it all very soon.  Anyways, when she makes that kissy sound, I run as fast as I can to her, because then she gives me lots of hugs and kisses and tells me how good I am!

I also learned that it's good to stop and smell the flowers - but to stay away from those buzzing things.  Dad says they are dangerous.

I helped Mom in the garden.  She was doing something called  "picking peas", which confused me because peeing is something I do an awful lot.  Anyways, I tried to show her how much more efficient it is to just pull out the whole plant!  I don't think she was impressed.

I've also learned that there is something that makes Mom and Dad real happy - they give me treats and make a fuss over me.  It's called "go potty outside."

Dad says I'm a real farm dog now.  I made a tunnel in the hay and snacked on some tasty treats in the dry lot.  Dad said they were horse poop.

Mom said "yucky!"

I said, "they're deeee-lishus!"

Well, that's about it for today.  I need a nap (again).

Sending butt wiggles and puppy kisses,

❤️Forrest

Ah, the days of having new life in the family. I loved the picture of Forrest romping down the lane with the bigger dogs and cat (Bobbie I think). They will certainly help teach him the ropes. Fun, amazing days ahead! But aren’t there aways fun, amazing days on the farm!?

Forrest is fitting right in. It looks like you have a whole group of critters to help teach him the ways of the Farm. I laughed at Bobby boxing his ears since we have three cats. Familiar scene. Keep learning how to obey that special command, GoOutsidePotty! That will make Mom and Dad really happy. Have a wonderful weekend.
