Don't Be Fooled

See the spectacularly beautiful day we had yesterday?

Don't be fooled.

Just a couple of hours before I took this photo, we had yet another snow squall!

Before the snow, clouds blocked the sunrise.

Thankfully, the clouds retreated, and the snow was over as quickly as it started. The sun came out for the rest of the day.  Yet, in spite of the bright sunny skies, the temperature was once again wintry.

And though I am tired of shivering, the animals don't seem to mind it at all.

Yesterday, while the horses were grazing in the upper pastures, the donkeys, pigs, and sheep had access to the front pasture.

It's amazing to me that after all of these months, the donkeys made a bee-line to the sheep's hay feeder!  It seems that donkeys prefer "low hanging fruit".

While the clouds passed, the sheep were snuggled in for their morning nap.

It seems everyone enjoys an after-breakfast nap!

I mentioned on Friday that I was headed out for an adventure.  The Girls and I hopped a train and went to New York City for Friday and Saturday.

 We took in the sights...

Central Park in the springtime...

and a show - Moulin Rouge.  (It was amazing!)

It was wonderful to see the theaters open again after the past two years.  They require proof of vaccination and masks for every theatre performance.  The city was extremely busy due to it being a holiday weekend.  In spite of the crowds, we had a blast!

Before we left the city to return home, I treated myself to an old favorite!  (a little snack for the train ride home.)

What a cute girl gang! Glad you had a fun trip together - and yes to the doughnuts!
We had no snow squall yesterday, but it was cold! Pretty blue sky, though.

What fun to live closer to NYC to enjoy
a short trip and some theater too!

I am with the piggies, curl up with inside warmth!
One day grey, next day full sun, back to bleak today.
No matter what . .. outdoor clean ups are calling.
I best get busy!
