Many decorator blogs address the subject of the proper way to style the pillows at the top of one's bed. Sadly, many of them are missing a key element. I thought, perhaps, you might enjoy seeing how I styled our guest room bed. First, I placed the sleep pillows against the headboard, with two extra pillows with shams, that match the comforter, in front of them.
In front of those, I placed a long lumber pillow. Then, a decorative pillow in front.
Lastly, the always missed - and to me the key element - "kitty-in-the-midst" gives the finished bed that lived-in, relaxed look... that, "come on, take a nap" appeal, that is too often overlooked.
If you happen to be missing that last, vital element for the well-dressed bed, I might be able to send you your very own bed-pet. I have a few extra around here these days! (kidding, of course)
As March would have it, after talking in yesterday's blog about how the earth is waking up.... This is what we awoke to yesterday morning.
Morning chores were attended to as the snow fell, once again blanketing the farm in white.
Just when I was itching to get out and work on cleaning up the gardens in preparation for Spring!
For now, I'll take my cue from these gals and only venture out when I have to.
"Ahhh... I'm loving the cold. Snow? What snow?" šš
Not rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor hail keeps these two from their treats! š·š·
Oh, and this is how we travel around here....
(electric gator with lots of passengers!)
By the end of the morning, our world looked like this:
This is definitely the way of March... coming in like a lion. It's wonderful to know that by the end of March, things will be quite different. Regardless, next week, it's time to plant sugar peas. And to me, that's the best sign of what's to come!

stopped to visit you. We received 5-6 inches
but it is melting fast and making more mud.
I agree . . . it is the ālionāpart of March.
I am hoping for a few ālambā days before
the April showers begin.
Today is looking like some sunny bright spots!
I will take it . . .
We haven't had a cat for a couple years. I've always had two at a time and it still feels strange without one. I'm allergic to them but your cat on the bed make me want one even more. xoxo
Those two wooly girls sure do get filthy! And the piggy girls ... well, they are just being themselves!
I figure my bed is "styled" once I get it made! LOL
And perhaps this is the "onion snow"as my parents used to call late winter/early spring snows that mostly covered grassy areas.
