It's Beginning...

2020 has been a year, hasn't it?  It might be hard to get into the Christmas spirit this year, I suspect.  I know, personally, I hadn't felt ready for Christmas.... until this past weekend.  I decided there was no better way to approach this Christmas than to just jump in head-first.  I played Christmas music and started hauling storage containers out of the attic.

Before I knew it, I was singing along and feeling quite jolly.

I spent a good deal of time decorating the house this weekend.  And even if no one but Hubbs and I gets to enjoy my efforts, it was definitely worth the time spent doing it.  And now, I am full of Christmas cheer and ready to face the coming weeks - though they will be different from any previous holiday season.

None-the-less, we soldier on and make every day the best it can possibly be.  For, as someone near and dear to my heart always says, "This is no dress rehearsal!"

And so, it is my hope that a little bit of my holiday happiness rubs off on you!

Enjoy the following video (and the fruits of my labor.)

If the video does not load below, you can find it HERE.

I tried something new this past weekend.  (It seems like I am always late to the party.). You might have already heard of this, but just in case you haven't, here is a yummy way to use leftover stuffing.

Mix stuffing with an egg white and cook on a waffle iron.  This makes the best base for a hot turkey sandwich!!  It was so easy and so delicious... crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Good morning. I would of been pretty sad if you didn't do your usual decorating. Maven Haven looks so inviting. I don't think I've heard about putting stuffing on the waffle iron. Looks and sounds scrumptious. xoxoxox

Absolutely beautiful video ... loved the music, too! Love all your cute, sparkly figurines and all of your décor ... the season will certainly be bright and cheery for you and Hubbs!
Another great video. How do you keep your cat from knocking things off? I have two cats and I think they love Christmas because they can wreak havoc with the decorations.

Love the tour, the happy music, and the perfect tree that you picked out. The corner cabinet with the little sparkly houses and the white crockery with greens made me happy. I need to get in the mood to decorate, but will be glad I did.
And the waffles! Great idea.
