There's a new bark around the neighborhood.
Meet Ellie Shelley.
Ellie was adopted this week by our neighbors, Jim and Kathy,
across the street from our front pasture.
Over the years, Jim and Kathy have helped us immeasurably around the farm.
We're so happy they found a sweet fur baby to love!
I'm sure it's not going to take this little one very much time
to figure out that there's a whole world of crazy action
right across the street from her.
The first time she hears the donkeys braying while she's out going potty
will be quite an experience for this little girl.
I knew that you might enjoy a little cuteness overload today...
compliments of Ellie Shelley.
We happened to see Ellie and her litter mates last week,
as we were passing by a farm down the road from us.
They were out getting a little sun with their Momma, a yellow lab.
Their Daddy is a Standard poodle.
It's so hard not to fall in love with a puppy...
especially an adorable labradoodle.
We resisted temptation, though.
That's why it's so wonderful to have Ellie in the neighborhood...
we can get our share of puppy love any time we want!
It is with enormous pride that I make the following announcement:
We found eleven eggs in the henhouse today!
(Cue the band!)
Not only have I turned the heat off beneath the stew pot,
but I have emptied the water and put the pot away!!
Sunrise... another something worth celebrating.
Isn't yesterday's beautiful?
Even the goats thought so.
