Dreams Of An Old Dog

If you've stopped by here in the past,
then most likely you are well-acquainted with our Brown Sammie.

He holds the rank of oldest (and wisest?...not sure about that one) of our farm dogs.

He's a love, for sure -
but like a cat, only when he is in the mood.

Otherwise, he spends most of his time resting up for potential adventure.

One thing we know for sure...
Sammie is a dreamer!

LOVED this Bev! So sweet, and yes, what on earth are dogs dreaming?? We have cats, and they dream, those paws can get going! I hope all their dreams are good ones!

I have read your blogs for years and haven't commented before. Today seeing Sammie dream made me smile. I have never seen a dog puff his cheeks out like that while sleeping. My dog, Maisie, runs while sleeping. She's getting old too, so I'm happy she is able to run in her dreams!
Thank you for such an upbeat blog! I love reading it and even cried feeling your pain over a loss. I'll never forget Annie's story. She has come such a long way since her adoption. If only people could follow the example of our pets the world could be a better place!
Sweet Sammie, you touch my heart. Thanks for the video. It made my day.

Have you ever notices your dog falling asleep and suddenly he starts involuntarily barking.
Scientists think that dogs dream the same way we do, actually replaying events in their minds that happened during the day or previously.

What a sweet blog today, Bev. Love watching Sammie sleep. Such a wonderful pet. Thank you. I hope he's not chasing one of those black and white critters either!

Really sweet Sammie . . .
For sure they dream . . .
Our Snickers is fun to watch when she is sleeping..
We notice her restless sleep when we have a house full of people
and when everyone leaves, she crashes. Twitches all over, nose going as fast as her paws.
Loved the video you made Bev!

Sammie's video is so sweet. My dogs bark in their sleep as well. I have a couple of heavy snorers too. My husband and i always mute the TV when we hear it and chuckle.
