Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day!
We've had a lovely weekend here on the farm.
What was forecasted to be a rainy weekend has turned out to be quite wonderful.

On Saturday, we decided to move the ducklings from their water tank home
into the large, unused stall in the barn.
It's hard to believe that in 2 short weeks,
these five have grown from this...

to this...

They are at least twice (maybe three times) as tall as they were when they arrived.
When they stand upright,
they look very much like the runner ducks they will eventually grow to be.

Needless to say, they've outgrown the nursery...

We took advantage of Saturday's sunshine and headed to the city for Arts Fest.
It's held alongside our beautiful Susquehanna River.

Our "find" for the day was this pottery bird bath.

It will be great fun to sit on the front deck and watch the birds splash.
Although, I believe it will take a little time for them to get used to its presence.

What a cool hanger for the deck! I need to find something like that. We have a feeder that has stumped the squirrels and it would be great to be able to hang in on our deck.

More duck videos! More duck videos! I can't imagine what they were thinking with all that new space to explore!

Glad you had beautiful weather for your outing.

The ducklings seem happy with their enlarged world - they sure are discussing it with one another! Love them - videos are welcome anytime!
Beautiful bird bath - love the pottery glaze! When you mention the city, Bev - what city is it? I was thinking that you perhaps meant Philly, but not if it's along the Susquehanna. Harrisburg?
