Always Happy To Have Visitors

We had a wonderful Easter weekend... spent with good friends...
great food, lots of laughs, and lots of time outdoors.

It all started with....
Friday...
when a dozen high schoolers from one of the local schools
came to the farm for a photo session.

A couple of photographers took a lot of photos of these kids and our animals
to use for a slide show for their May Day Dance.

These adorable girls and their dates were all on the "court."
Because their dance had a Farm theme this year,
they inquired as to whether they could use our farm for their photos.

And of course we were excited to have them.
The critters had just the best time with all of the attention.

They all seemed to truly enjoy the animals.
And as personable as our animals are... the feeling was mutual!

This was such a respectful and kind group of kids.
We thoroughly enjoyed their visit.

And I think they got some good photos.

This one reminded me of Amanda and Tim's engagement photos.

Things are just beginning to "green-up" around the farm...
and before long it will be beautiful and colorful once again.

In preparing for our weekend guests, I baked a few loaves of Italian bread from
my favorite bread book.

I always have great success with the recipes in this book...
so if you are looking for a good source for break baking,
this is what I would highly recommend!
And the finished loaves....

Sunday was a quiet day at home on the farm.
We did our weekly egg washing,
this week with a little extra help...

And last, I have to share our little Pink Fairy's Easter photo (sent to me by her Mama)...

Have a lovely week.
