Tiny Visitors

Yesterday was a special day on the farm.
We had a group of pre-school visitors who came for a tour.

There is just nothing cuter than children and animals.
I think I had as much fun watching them as they had visiting our critters.

They were quite enamored with Minerva, and wondered if she lives in the playhouse
when she is not "working" in the garden!

I am not sure who was happiest here...
Sammy, MaryAnn, or their little visitor!

A tender moment was shared between pig and dog.

Everywhere we walked, Sam and Oakley had someone holding on to them.
These two boys were so tolerant and gentle!

Sam revelled in the attention!

After our visitors left, MaryAnn hopped in the pool for a swim.
I just love her smile!

She loves the water.

Ginger, on the other hand, prefers mud...
and digs through it with her snout until she finds the perfect place.

And then she flops down and rolls in the mud.

All of our animals have their own personalities
and their own special talents.
I thought I would share Henri's special talent.
Henri is an apricot colored Polish crested rooster who likes to do....

Owl impressions!

Pretty good, huh?
"Who-who looks like an owl?" he says.

Have a great weekend....we will be spending a lot of ours in the garden;
and will be back Monday to share with you.

  1. Thanks for making me giggle here at 6:30 am with the last two photos ! I bet that little cutie in the photos will be a farm gal one day she seems to be clinging to the animals just like I do lol . Awesome photos and post wish I could have a day at your farm that would be great put me to work ! Have a good day !

  2. I love your menagerie. Years ago I had "Eve" but she has since left. It was pretty funny because people would drive by and wave, thinking it was me in the yard. I've got to come up with another fine lady once I get my little chicks.

  3. How fun to have little ones at the farm. Yes, it does look like everyone had fun. You have fun working in the garden over the weekend. That is where you will also find me! Hugs!!

  4. Truly looks like everyone had fun! Love that owl impersonation!

  5. I just know the kids were thrilled with all your animals. There questions about Minerva were kind of funny and so cute! Out of the mouth of babes...

    Have a great weekend!

  6. OMG that piggy brought back fond memories...we used to live out in a rural area here in So CA believe it or not...and I had a "Piggy Sue" I chuckled at that cute shots and the kiddies look like they are having a ball...~~Debb

  7. Awww, the little kids are so sweet. It is so important to teach all children how to be gentle to animals from a very early age. They are all adorable!

Have a wonderful, safe weekend, Bev! Meghan

  8. Henri does look like an owl !! Sam and Oakley seemed to love the attention of the "little people" cute..I'm very glad to see that Edith has been found safe and sound..doing what comes naturally...

  9. How fun!! I truly see Mary Ann smiling--who can blame her? Ginger gets her mud loving from her daddy--he loves nothing better and has been there many days this week :)
    Hugs, Amy
