Napping

Is there anything more delicious than a nap in the middle of the day?

Actually I wouldn't know, because I never take naps!

But, I do love it when the horses nap...
seeing them lying down assures me that they feel safe and secure
in their home here on the farm.

Horses have the ability to sleep standing up and do so many times during the day.
But they also have the need for deep sleep...lying down.

That's the type of sleep reserved for times when they feel completely safe.

While these guys were napping, I was busy building a rock wall
around a new landscaping project.
Hopefully I can share the end result one of these days real soon!

Have a wonderfully restful weekend!

Take a nap!

  1. I'm with you, I can't nap either. Seems like the days are short enough as it is and I don't want to loose any of that precious time.

  2. How sweet all of them napping. I'm like you I never nap. There are day that I think I'm so tired I need a nap. I've even tried. But for some reason my mind wont let me. It's like lay down and 3,000 thought come into the brain of things I should be doing and all of a sudden I'm wide awake. So no napping for this gal! have a fabulous weekend!
