If you read my blog with any regularity,
then you will recognize this fellow
with the far away look in his eye....

It's TomTom, the omnipresent barn kitty...
my gardening sidekick.

That far away look could be the residual effect from anesthesia,

or maybe it is just TomTom dreaming of all the things he
is going to do with this new lease on life.

You see, TomTom has always been a snorty, snotty, sneezy cat.
He has been treated with countless pills and potions,
all designed to quiet his stertorous breathing.

Yesterday, TomTom went to the local animal hospital for a procedure...
a scoping to see if there was a removable cause for this problem.

Luckily....
YES
this
lovely,
large,
lobular
 polyp
(I know....gross!)

was growing in the back of his naso-pharynx, obstructing his breathing.

Now TomTom has a new, quiet lease on life.
I am sure he feels better,
and most likely will have more energy
with more oxygen pumping into his lungs.

"Look out mousies"....a new TomTom is here!
Now he'll be able to sneak up on those little mice
that have made our barn their home.

I'm sure Tom Tom is grateful to have that nasty thing removed. It's got to be a lot easier to breath without it.

How wonderful for TomTom that he can breathe easy now! That polyp looks quite large by kitty standards.

I can't take credit for TomTom's cure. Dr. Becky suggested that he have some surgery ....and she took him along with her dogs, who were having dental appointments. I am just so happy he is better and breathing quietly. Thanks!
Aww poor Tom Tom. He's a lucky boy to have you as his 'mom' and now he's polyp free and breathing easy! That thing was huge by the way. Hope your day is a good one.
