I sure hope you find the cow, so strange that she has wandered far from home; wherever that may be. It made me think of a time I was driving down a county road as a cattle truck was passing me, suddenly a cow fell out of the back of the truck, stood up and went running down the road away from the truck. The driver obviously had no idea about his "Loss". I suppose I should have turned my car around and notified him, but I didn't. Maybe that cow ended up in the woods too!jerilandershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07418564262425621746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3617428990857687043.post-92018815369064620922017-12-11T17:23:09.161-05:002017-12-11T17:23:09.161-05:00Is there to be some mooing at BHA? Cows hate to be alone, and it seems very odd that she is out running around like that. I bet you would love a family cow! Chester looks like a cattle dog, so it is ...Oh, my. Chester looks like a cattle dog, so it is funny to hear he leads the pack rather than herding the "four" and "two legs". Recently, we lived in a rural area of Oregon and in 23 yrs of living there, we, along with neighbors, had visits from escaped cows. One neighbor ended up w/2 cows which he did everything legally required to find owners. Failing that, he ended up with a small amount in his freezer and a majority going to the food bank and senior center. Another neighbor, repeatedly, had a herd (7+) show up in their yard. Our cats are like the dogs. One cat "nests" in the cushions on the back of the sofa (after baking in front of the fire), while the other takes her turn "baking".<br />MickAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3617428990857687043.post-3000932220073976332017-12-11T06:43:40.734-05:002017-12-11T06:43:40.734-05:00omg....the dogs on the sofa are so funny! how doe...omg....the dogs on the sofa are so funny! how does one lose a cow? the cookies are perfect!jaz@octoberfarmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17249328159454897124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3617428990857687043.post-15629703301819425262017-12-11T06:24:58.424-05:002017-12-11T06:24:58.424-05:00A brisk hike in the woods sounds like an ideal way...A brisk hike in the woods sounds like an ideal way to spend some time. He was a gorgeous puppy and he is making a very handsome boy (gosh how he has grown). So glad it was a happy ending for Chester, he is going to absolutely love living with you all.
