What A Difference A Day Makes

Greetings from the land of fickle weather!!
I can scarcely believe that it is February already.
It seems like yesterday that we were in the thick of the Christmas season,
and now we are rounding the corner and heading towards Spring...
at least that is what the groundhog has said.

We started our weekend with a snowy Friday... and it snowed all day!
Frigid temperatures hung around until yesterday when it warmed up
to almost 40 degrees.
I had almost forgotten what the warmth of the sun felt like!

Let me tell you... it was heavenly.
It's amazing how a spike in temperature can make one feel 10 pounds lighter...
probably because I have had to wear an extra ten pounds of
heavy, warm clothing for the past week.

Everyone enjoyed being outside yesterday.

We had a delightful weekend with houseguests.
Good food, laughter and great games filled the hours
between suppertime Friday and lunchtime on Sunday.
The time whizzed by in the blink of an eye...
evidence of time well spent!

Our guests were Lola and Roxy and their human family.
You might remember, if you've been around for a while,
that we visit Lola and Roxy and their family at the Chesapeake Bay each summer.
And every winter, we happily entertain them here at the farm.

It's always great to spend time with fellow dog-lovers!

We took a few hikes through the woods, which made our four-legged friends
quite happy!

It always becomes quite evident who the branch manager and assistant
branch managers are!

Winter walks are wonderful.

The air is crisp.

The snow is lovely.
The creek is frozen.

Everyone has a blast!

One of our weekend activities was a trip to a local escape room.
Escape from Alcatraz was the theme...
and we did NOT escape!!!
(we overlooked the simplest physical clue)

We had our traditional Sunday morning Farm Breakfast.

There's nothing better than a completely full table for breakfast!

The weekend was the perfect opportunity to enjoy the snow and the winter weather.
The next few days will feel more like spring,
and I have an idea that most of our snow will be gone by the end of the week.

Sounds like and looks like a wonderful weekend.
I agree . . . nothing better than a winter walk!
I have heard about those Escape Room places . . .
Great picture, sorry you missed the clue!

We too have had quite a weather week . . .
Over two feet of snow, twenty below, even lower wind chill
from January 28th on and then 40 degrees on February 2 . . .
and now, a rapid melt . . . UNBELIEVABLE!
What a difference . . .

So glad you had some sunshine to warm you up. It does make such a difference. Thankful for an early spring. Winter was a bit long this year.

Enjoy your day!

It seems all the bad weather is hitting the weekends this winter. What was the clue that you all missed..??Have a happy week..
