Not Your Average Spring Day... Or Is It?

We awoke to a Winter Spring Wonderland.
Snow, snow, snow...fluffy and white and beautiful.
I am hoping it was Winter's last hurrah!
Thankfully, it is melting quickly.

On our way out for yesterday's morning chores...

This was our world.
The sun just beginning to rise...

A world in blue and black and white...

Frozen, silent...yet stirring, awakening...

As the sky brightened, the sound of birds could be heard above
the crunch, crunch, crunching of horses eating breakfast.

Grey storm clouds began to give way to blue sky
and the promise of sunshine.

The light on the horizon turned yellow...
in contrast to the greys and whites on the ground.

A new day... full of splendor...
maybe not the type we wished for,
but still quite beautiful...
an opportunity to be thankful...
thankful for the gift of austere winter perfection!

And a little video of some of our morning stops...

Love all the scenes around your place....just beautiful Bev! And love seeing how all the birds and animals react to seeing you....how sweet. Those sheep are sure cute with the snowy faces, and the pigs waiting for their treats. That video ended so quickly....I was really enjoying it. Thanks for taking us along on your morning chores. Always so delightful.
