And from what I've learned, they do not carry rabies at all. I've been unfortunate (maybe not as unfortunate as the bat) to have a couple in my house. I just put on heavy duty gloves, cornered the poor twittering things, and caught them and set them outside.

I was sad to read about the white nose fungus that is killing them off. I think I'll research this and find out more about it. I'd like to post something up on my sites about it.

Thank you for all the wonderful stories and the education you provide for folks like me.

Hope you have a beautiful day,
SusanSusanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16581128902081203020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3617428990857687043.post-53892329233254381592010-07-06T00:55:09.077-04:002010-07-06T00:55:09.077-04:00We have bats all the time around here. It is amazing all the bats that fly out the cave at night. I don't mind bats because like you mentioned, "They eat insects."countrynmorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06671253854427788011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3617428990857687043.post-80450983901281511242010-07-05T23:25:42.183-04:002010-07-05T23:25:42.183-04:00When the kids were young we sat on the front porch...When the kids were young we sat on the front porch at dusk watching for them and talking about how they locate the insects they gobble up!Autumnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18029077838521105307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3617428990857687043.post-44710746833498972792010-07-05T21:40:30.627-04:002010-07-05T21:40:30.627-04:00I love bats.
