It was the best kind of weekend...
spent in the company of our little people.
First, on Saturday, Tyler and his Mommy and her fiancé and his parents
came to the farm for a lunch.
Although it was a rainy day, the drizzle stopped mid afternoon allowing us to walk out to visit with the animals.
Tyler had some adventures in fossil hunting.
Mackenzie and Easton and their Daddy joined us later in the afternoon and
stayed for the rest of the weekend.
We cleaned up manure...
(every farm girl should wear a skirt and bow!... and those pink sneakers ended up in the
washing machine!)
Mackenzie is a very willing helper... and very serious about her jobs.

We had a few pretend tea parties.
Fairy gardens are so much more magical when seen through the eyes of a little one...
On Sunday we took an early-morning hike...
one of several...
one of several...
and later walked with the turkeys (and dogs).
Mackenzie decided that she was ready to sit on top of the horses...
and tried out Red, Ollie, and Donnie Brasco.
She was quite brave and held firmly onto their mane as she balanced on their back.
Next time we will try a saddle and walk a little.
You might notice... she already has pretty good form!

Little Easton is ten months old and very soon ready to let go and walk
by himself.
This weekend we discovered the fun of bubbles...
He was so pleased with himself when he popped one.
There is nothing so precious to me as time with my three littles.
And although Tyler is growing up... he still enjoys his adventures at the farm.
As for the littlest ones... there is still so much magic ahead!
I wonder if they know that they hold my heart in their tiny hands.
With all of the rain we had last week...
my garden is bursting at the seams!
Maybe tomorrow we should take a tour of the garden.
Comments
Yes, you really should tour the garden! Please???
You are so lucky to have so many littles and family members nearby that they can just come over!
I would also like to see the garden overflowing!!
(and manure helper too!)
