It's hard to believe that a mere 24 hours after I took this picture...
this little man looked like this...
Yes, the big snowstorm that hit the east coast dumped over 8 inches of
snow on the farm.
A snowy day adds a lot of extra work to chore times.
Besides shoveling walkways around the house,
and plowing snow from the driveway...
snow must be scraped from the roof of our woodsy tent.
(Otherwise, it might collapse from the weight.)
Even with all of the added work,
there is nothing quite as beautiful as a new fallen snow!
The dogs had a blast playing in the snow during early morning chores.
Here they are, playing with Dr. Becky's two pups, Daisy and Buddy.
Many of the animals remained indoors for much of the day.
(Except, of course, the horses... who have absolutely no sense.)
The sheep never seem to mind the snow either...
but then, they wear the perfect snow suits.
The pigs ventured out once...hoping to get some treats...
and of course they were rewarded.
I spent part of the day in my sewing room,
sewing this frock and pantaloons...
After shoveling and plowing, I treated myself to tea and the latest issue
of Faerie Magazine.
It's a quarterly publication that is quite extraordinary...
and has almost no advertisements.
I lost myself in the pages of this beautiful magazine...
dreaming of warmer weather, when our own fairies return to the farm.
By the time the blue hour began,
most of the snow had fallen...
making our world quite magical.
Dear Spring... enough with the magic, ok?

Some work, fun, beauty will follow . . .
Happy March Days . . .
Can you believe this snow?/ UGH! although in CT it's melting quickly - I have a friend who is a professional fairie, I wonder if she's aware of that publication... probably, but I'll ask. Never heard of it!
