Porcine Snowplows

No matter the weather, these two porcine snowplows find their way to the
treat box as soon as they hear the sound of the gator.

They are there each morning as we head to the barn for chores.

We'd feel guilty if we didn't stop and give them a couple Ritz crackers...
even though these two are completely spoiled rotten!

When there's snow on the ground, the pigs remain in their stall for most of the day.
There, they have fresh hay delivered as well as "meals on wheels"...
maid service is provided twice daily as well.
(We should all be so lucky!)

The only tracks in their yards are the ones leading away from their stall door...

towards the treat bin...

I try to spend a little time each day doling out
liberal helpings of affection to accompany their treats.

Life can get a little boring for these girls at this time of year.
Once the snow has melted, they will once again have time in the front pasture.

For now, however, we humans remain their diversion.

I spent a couple hours weaving yesterday and have completed the first 14 inches of
this piece.

It's hard to show you my progress, however, as the finished end keeps getting
wound around the bottom bar.

At this rate, it should be finished in about a week or less...
so I will share it with you then!
If you are on the fence thinking you might want to try weaving,
you can purchase a relatively inexpensive rigid heddle loom online.
Weaving is quite simple and very relaxing.
I've been watching MasterClass videos while I weave...
accomplishing two tasks at once!

As for the knee injury... my leg feels normal.... as if nothing happens.
So much so, that I had Hubbs examine it again.
"Yup...it's real loose...you definitely tore it."  he said.
It's the weirdest thing... I don't notice it at all.
So, hopefully, that's the end of that.

Here we are at yet another Friday.
We are spending a quiet weekend at home.
We are in a bit of a warming trend, so I believe we will be losing a bit of our snow this weekend.
It certainly was beautiful while it lasted!

Glad to hear that your knee is feeling so good, you can't believe you hurt it! Better take it easy and not overdo it though. Give it more time to heal well. I always love your pictures and your precious creatures. Thanks so much for the time you put in on this blog. Love seeing your weaving too...wow....it's looking beautiful. Can't wait to see the finished product! Have a wonderful weekend! A quiet weekend here too.....awesome!

Love the weave . . .
The Tale of Two Piggies
made for my first morning smile . . .

(What does it mean when “it is loose” . . . the tear is obvious?)
(Wearing a brace or something?)
Happy New Year, dear Beverly

How in the world did you hurt your knee? Ouch!
I just adore Maryanne and Ginger.. They always make me smile.

I love your weaving project. You really amaze me with your many talents.
And what is this under your feet? It looks like a rose rug? I will assume you also made this. It is absolutely gorgeous.
blessings,
Penny

Penny, you give me way too much credit. No, that rug came from home goods about nine years ago .
