What a spectacular weekend we had!
Fall weather is here... the nights are cold (the heat is on!)...
days reach the low 70's.
I am in heaven... this is my favorite time of year (and I love them all... but this is the very best!)
I know the animals are enjoying the chilly weather as well.
We had so much fun this weekend!
And we survived being outnumbered by grands.
Saturday morning we awoke to a beautiful sunny morning.
The moon was still high in the sky....
and rose again later that evening as a bright orange harvest moon.
We went to Tyler's soccer game in the morning
and returned home with three extra Little People.
The day flew by... between changing diapers, feeding bottles...
feeding meals to Littles...
visiting the animals...
eating apples off the trees...
swinging...
exploring...
The day was filled from beginning to end... and the hours sped by unbelievably fast.
Tyler and his puppy Chester spent Sunday with us as well ( as well as Tyler's Mommy).
We took the dogs for a long hike in the woods...
and the old dogs taught Chester all about the woods.
You might notice that Chester has grown a little...
ok, well... his ears have grown a lot!
Have you ever seen such a little dog with such big ears?
The barn should be finished sometime this week.
The first coat is almost complete... and I am loving this color!
Things are still a little messy, but I couldn't wait to show you the color.
I will show you the rest of the barn and the out buildings when we have finished painting them.
I don't believe this week's weather is going to cooperate...
rain is on the way.
Our hearts go our to those experiencing the ravages of the recent hurricanes.
It is important that we do what we can to help those in need
and there are many opportunities to do so.
If you have a particular interest in helping the animals that have been affected by the recent storms,
(especially those of you who have a fondness for horses)

They will put all donations to good use!

Beautiful grands - enjoy!
I love knowing how our hay was grown and that we have enough in the barn now for the hardest of winters, even if we don't get another cutting. Hubby is guessing that we have somewhere around 750 put up right now. We should get one more cutting and that will take us well into Spring until we start over.
Your grands are all cute and look happy.
Tyler is looking taller and more like a boy than a "little!"
Right you are . . . I have never seen such BIG EARS!
How nice the cousins can enjoy play times together at the farm.
