Snow!

After a winter of mostly rain and drizzle,
it was wonderful yesterday to awaken to a world of white.

It snowed... not a lot... but enough...
enough to give me a taste of real winter.

Our world looked so lovely dressed in white.

None of the animals seemed to mind the snow.

Some even seemed to enjoy it.

Let's face it...
too much of anything can get monotonous.

And I really don't think we humans are the only ones
who like to mix things up a bit!

Even the donkeys, who prefer to stay within their sheltered confines
during inclement weather, were out and about in the snow.

Snow makes the perfect backdrop for animal photography.

It won't be with us for much more than a day or so...
but I will enjoy the scenery while it is here!

Just beautiful! We were blessed with a bit of snow the second week we were here and I hope we get one more dose before winter bids us adieu!
