After a winter of mostly rain and drizzle,
it was wonderful yesterday to awaken to a world of white.

It snowed... not a lot... but enough...
enough to give me a taste of real winter.

Our world looked so lovely dressed in white.

None of the animals seemed to mind the snow.

Some even seemed to enjoy it.

Let's face it...
too much of anything can get monotonous.

And I really don't think we humans are the only ones
who like to mix things up a bit!

Even the donkeys, who prefer to stay within their sheltered confines
during inclement weather, were out and about in the snow.

Snow makes the perfect backdrop for animal photography.

It won't be with us for much more than a day or so...
but I will enjoy the scenery while it is here!

  1. Just beautiful! We were blessed with a bit of snow the second week we were here and I hope we get one more dose before winter bids us adieu!

  2. Very pretty - your animals are lovely looking :)

  3. i am soooo jealous! we had rain all day.

  4. Yeah, you finally got some snow! The animals look lovely in the snow, but I bet they are also hoping it only last a day or two!! We have snow in our forecast for Thursday. I really think we have had our share already!! Enjoy your snow!!

  5. They do look better in the snow (the animals)..Kinda makes them stand out more (for pictures). That was a good kind of snow..All gone by bedtime..A whole new landscape..Nice pics!!

  6. Great pictures, Bev. Bet all the animals will be glad to see bits of green grass growing and the snow melting. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week. xo Diana
