Happy New Year!

I am sure there is no one who enjoys the holidays any more than I do.
I can hardly wait for the end of Thanksgiving dinner each year...
to begin getting out the lights and the baubles...
turning the house into a magical Christmas wonderland.
No room goes untouched.
And through every day during the holiday season,
the tiny lights are burning brightly.

But come January 1st, I am ready for new beginnings.
Out with the old and in with the new!

The Christmas decorations come down in the blink of an eye
and are stowed safely in their plastic bins in the attic.

I love the romance and nostalgia of the Christmas season and allow myself
that warm and dreamy time for a little over a month.
But when that calendar page flips over to reveal a new year full of wide open spaces...
I am ready to dive in and organize.
Out with the old.  In with the new!!

This coming week will be one of reorganization, rearranging, and re-decorating.
Something I look forward to each year as the holidays draw to a close.

As for resolutions... I have never been one to make them.
Each year my goal is to just be a better version of myself....
because, let's face it... we cannot be anyone but who we are!

For  you... I hope for a year of good health and hearty laughs.
I will try to give you a smile each day.
And if there are tears to be shed... we will shed them together.
Let's face it... life is better that way.... together!

Happy New Year, Friend!
May 2017 be everything you want it to be.

I didn't make it to New Year Day! The organization began early since my tree was so dry. But somehow I've become lazy and it has stopped, ugh! Enjoy your clearing and organization!! Donkey's are sure cute!

Happy New Year to You Bev and your family. Loved all the pictures you featured today along with the crazy glasses! I still have a week to go before we start to dismantle all the Christmas finery. I'll be sad to see it all go. At least I don't have as much to put away as I had before we moved to this new place in October. Now we'll see if I have to buy anything new for "regular" time!!! Enjoy January!

Great outlook. I enjoy New Year's also because of the idea of new beginnings. A chance to start over, forgive past discretions, and begin new endeavors with a fresh perspective.
Continued blessings in the New Year!
