It's What's For Dinner

For us...
Broccoli....

Kale....

For the pigs...  carrots!

The wisteria on the garden fence is breathtaking right now....

The butterflies and bees are enjoying it as well.

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day with a couple of cloudy episodes...
all in all a stellar day.
I happened to see this in the pig yard and wanted to share it with you...

what a lovely fungus!

And last night in the woods behind the farmhouse I spotted something
fairly rare...

A male Scarlet tanager.
Please excuse the poor quality of this photo...but I had to shoot it out of a window,
so as not to scare this shy fellow away.
He and his yellowish-brown mate were hopping from branch to branch.
This is only the second one I have seen in my lifetime.

Your veg looks dee-lish! What a treat to have all those pollinators enjoying your wisteria. It is a beautiful plant.
Enjoy your day! More rain for us-and I'm not complaining!

That's a beautiful bird.
The fungus looks like chicken of the woods and is very edible.
