The Best Weekend Ever!

I spent Saturday in wool heaven.
Literally.

The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival is the most amazing event.
It has become a yearly tradition for me and my Mom...
something we both look forward to all year!

There were tons of vendors selling anything and everything related to fiber and fiber arts.
I purchased some yarn to use in upcoming weaving and knitting projects...
enough to last through the wintertime.

There were demonstrations and shows,
music and entertainment,
sheep dog demonstrations...
something for everyone.

One of the vendors had the most amazing needle-felted animals
and I had to share them with you.

This lion's head was life-sized!

Aren't they incredible?

Sunday we spent at Mackenzie's house.
Mackenzie's Mommy and Daddy hosted a cookout for 4 generations
(on both sides of their family!)

It was a beautiful sunny day (the first after 12 days of rain),
and we reveled in the warmth of the sun!

Nothing is better than a day spent with (almost) all of my favorite people!

Hi Bev.
What type of sheep is the fourth photo? (the one in profile with a yellow tag) I don't think I've seen this kind of sheep before.
Thank!

Sounds like a wonderful time! I agree, those needle felted animals were amazing. I am going to have to see if we have a show like that here in Indiana!
