The Spice Girls

Summer swooped in this weekend...
un-announced!
Sunny blue skies provided a beautiful backdrop for all of the trees,
whose leaves were beginning to open right in front of our eyes.

We took full advantage of the warm temperatures and got to work
chipping all of the piles of tree tops left from last autumn's tree trimming.
All of the pine chips are now spread in the horses' dry lot...
providing them with a soft place to sleep,
as well as to potty.

The donkeys were quite curious about the wood chips and spent a while
picking through them looking for edibles.

When chores were finished, we took a drive to visit our dear friends
at Tuckaway Farm...just a few miles away from us.

Tuckaway is home to Daphne and Chloe's boyfriend, Paco.

They've never met Paco, but I am sure they would find him quite handsome!

I especially wanted to share with you the newest members of our friends' farm.

Meet the Spice Girls!

Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Ginger, and Rosemary!

These four adorable young goats are Boer goats and have just come
to make their home at Tuckaway Farm.

Don't they have just the sweetest faces?

And how about those ears!
Who can resist those long ears!

I miss the days when Spring would bring a new batch of baby goats.
Sadly, those days are over.

It's so nice to know I can now get my "kid" fix at our friend's farm.

Much thanks to Annette and Dale for sharing their adorables with us!
