Mackenzie and the Three Bears

Yesterday was a day of surprises.
A visit from our little pink fairy started our day off just right.

We spent time visiting all of the animals...

talking to the pigs...

and feeding the sheep...

It was the perfect day for enjoying the cool spring grass...

feeling it between our toes...

and picking dandelions.

We took a ride over to the 100 Acre Wood...to gather the memory cards from the game cameras...
and to give Mackenzie's puppy, Sam, a bit of exercise.

I had a hunch, based on the bear-clawed tree and paw prints on the tent last week,
that we might see something pretty fantastic.
And we did!!
Look....

1st camera...
very suspicious for something very big...
and two somethings!

Second camera....
Wow!

But, the best of all was Camera #3...

It looks like we have a Mama bear and two yearling cubs.

What a day full of surprises!

I wasn't expecting a mama bear and cubs, awesome! Of course, that also means there's a papa bear somewhere off in the woods.

What a sweetie Mackenzie is...love her little toes!! Wow...what a sight to see those 3 bears on your land. I hope they keep their distance from your bees chickens and other critters. We've been told we have bear that visits our property here in Arkansas. So far we haven't seen any but like you, we have plenty of raccoon and turkey and deer around. Please be careful :)
